Annual Health Check T&Cs

1. Service Overview

The Satellite Phone Annual Health Check service ("the Service") is provided by Satellite Communication PTY LTD (also referred to as SatComms) to ensure the optimal performance of satellite phones. The Service includes a general inspection, software updates, battery health check, and overall maintenance.

2. Eligibility

The Service is available for satellite phones purchased from SatComms or other authorized retailers. The customer must provide proof of purchase or ownership when booking the Service.

3. Scope of Service

  • Full hardware and software inspection

  • Firmware and software updates (if applicable)

  • Battery health assessment

  • Cleaning and general maintenance

  • Functionality testing, including network connectivity checks

4. Exclusions

The Service does not include repairs, replacement of parts, or any modifications to the satellite phone. If any faults or damages are found during the inspection, the customer will be advised on available repair options at an additional cost.

5. Booking & Turnaround Time

Customers must book the Service in advance via the SatComms website or customer support. The typical turnaround time is 3-5 business days, subject to device condition and service demand.

6. Customer Responsibilities

  • Ensure the device is in working condition before sending it in.

  • Back up any important data, as SatComms is not responsible for data loss during the Service.

  • Use secure packaging when sending the device to prevent transit damage.

  • Make sure to insure your item when sending it to us via a courier. We are not responsible for loss or damage in transit.

  • You will also be required to collect your phone when the check is complete.

7. Service Fees & Payment

Full payment must be made at the time of booking. Additional costs may apply if further repairs or replacements are required, subject to customer approval.

8. Shipping & Returns

Customers are responsible for shipping costs. SatComms is not liable for any loss or damage occurring during transit.

9. Warranty & Liability

This Service does not extend the manufacturer’s warranty of the device. SatComms is not responsible for any pre-existing issues or future malfunctions that may arise after the Service.

10. Cancellation & Refunds

Cancellations before the Service begins are eligible for a full refund less a handling fee. No refunds once the inspection has begun.
